Ask HN: Why is spellcheck disabled on HN?

1 points by jeppesen-io 6y ago

I'm 37 and I cannot spell. I've become better over the years but it's still a strugle. This is not a mater of effort or inteligence. There are tools in the browser that help others like me in the browser Why does HN disable spellcheck in text fields?

Spellcheck works fine for me on HN in both Firefox and Chrome (misspelled words get underlined in red in the text box).
