I was using the googlevoice python plugin a couple years ago. At some point they decided they definitely didn't want anyone using googlevoice from an automated system and its been broken for a year+ now. I spent a couple hours with various headless browsers/etc and developer tools trying to see if I could get anything to login. I didn't try super hard, but i'm still not 100% sure what they were doing to detect actual user interaction. It was easier to just pay a couple dollars a year to a different service that prioritizes having a working API.
