- uberman 6y agoPlease don't bring a political campaign to HN.
- recallgavinnow 6y agoOh really!? So covid and the riots and the election talk aren't all political? You are probably the same type of person that argues you can't separate politics at the workplace aren't you?
- uberman 6y agoI'm not sure what you are talking about. If you are asking if I think politics in/at the workplace are ok, I would say "no". There is also clearly a distinction between political talk and campaigning. Your username and the fact that you posted a link to a political campaign related to it says that the only reason you are here is to use your 17 minute old profile to grind your political axe. This is not a left or right issue. This is a please don't use HN to wage your political campaign (left or right or centrist) issue.
- dragonwriter 6y ago> * Newsom gets slapped by a judge to not issue anymore EOs Factually inaccurate as to the content of the court order. > * Newsom gets a stay on previous order Accurate, even though your description of the order was not. > * Newsom orders stay at home order with curfew after talking to Saudia Arabia about it Whether or not anyone talked to Saudi Arabia, this isn't an Executive Order, its a Public Health Order; it is not issued by Newsome, but by Erica S. Pan, Acting State Public Health Officer.
- recallgavinnow 6y agoWhat specifically is factually incorrect? Please link me your "correct" sources.
- dragonwriter 6y ago> What specifically is factually incorrect? The claim that the court prohibited Newsome from issuing any more Executive Orders. It only prohibited him from issuing EOs that do what was in dispute in the case, specifically, using the Emergency Services Act as a basis for any order which "amends, alters, or changes existing statutory law or makes new statutory law or legislative policy." EOs which don't do that, which is the case for most EOs, are not in dispute and future EOs that don't do that are unaffected. > Please link me your "correct" sources.
