- zbowling 15y agoThis came up when the first story like this was posted. Unconfirmed churn. Mono isn't dead. Only a smart of the team was let go in the restructuring.

- HardyLeung 15y agoHe is active on Twitter and lots of people talked to him and asked him exactly that question, but there is no response. Perhaps he should move to Microsoft to run .NET now that Scott Guthrie moves on to Azure App Platform ;)
- thepumpkin1979 15y agoBad idea =)... We need DeIcaza to rescue ECMA-334 and ECMA-335 outside Windows. Scott Hanselman might be a better choice since the guy is well-known open-source advocate.
- HardyLeung 15y agoIdeally Miguel de Icaza would clarify if this "rumor" is false but he's not saying anything (yet) and plenty of people are guessing.
- tzs 15y agoConversely, if the rumor is true and everyone was let go, you'd expect Miguel to have mentioned that. The man is a prolific tweeter.
- jtdowney 15y agoMaybe I am nitpicking, but Silverlight runs on Windows and Mac, which is why MS claims it is cross-platform. The article indicated it is Windows only.
