The touchbar can be pretty good if you reprogram it, using, e.g., Bettertouchtool. I now put use it as a combination of information dashboard and system-level control switches (audio volume, internet proxy, my own low-power mode, ...). BTT’s touchbar clipboard manager is also phenomenal.
