Thereby Making it Worse for Everyone Else.
Indiscriminate measures don't provide helpful information. Support videos that have acceptable ads. Don't support ones that don't. Downvote them, comment, and, most importantly, be willing not to watch them, ever. YouTube can learn, much like a dog, as long as the feedback is clear and swift
- oauea 6y agoYouTube doesn't have any acceptable ads.
- jrootabega 6y agoNonsense. They have a lot of short and inoffensive ads, and similar delivery methods. They also have a lot of long offensive ones, and we should give them an incentive to favor the former
- themaninthedark 6y agoShort...I remember getting several 15 to 30 minute ads on 5 minute videos. At lest they were skipable. To be fair, the ads themselves were interesting, I just didn't have time to watch all of them.
- jrootabega 6y agoOh, they try to get away with some shit. Just gotta be ready for it. They get me occasionally when I'm elbow deep in dishwater. I'm pretty sure they model people who are asleep or afk and hit them with the worst ads
- hadrien01 6y agoWe already support videos that have acceptable ads: not YouTube ads, but in-video ads. The creator is paid directly by the advertiser with no middle-man, the user is not tracked and can easily skip them, and personally I prefer these ads instead of unskippable TV-like commercials .
- jrootabega 6y agoDoes YouTube get a cut?
- high_derivative 6y agoAnd you expect YouTube to host these for free so the creator can be paid why exactly?
- renewiltord 6y agoSame here. I usually just shoplift at the retail store and then send the wholesale price to the wholesaler. Not a big fan of middlemen. It's a pretty good back around not having a Costco account.
