I even received some weird bug issues on my ROM ( https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/1430 https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/1... ) that made me think they were actually trying to go this route, but nope. (FWIW this bootloader lock policy happened few months after Honor (USA branch) gave away devices for ROM developers, if you want a model of intra-company miscommunication)
