Starting to wonder why I've seen at least 3, maybe 4, unrelated things about Dolly Parton today. Including covers on Youtube and an article about her investment

Honestly I see it as a symptom of America's obsession with "the one true saving hero". Hear me out, judging by the internet, American people seem to always need someone to put on a pedestal; Mueller, Sanders, Fauci, AoC, Dolly Parton, I am not eloquent enough to explain it but it seems to me that people are always looking for someone to worship and hold as their saving grace where in fact, the issues they're facing are complicated and no single hero is going to solve them. I don't know, has anyone else noticed this?

Hero worship is an ancient human characteristic. Perhaps American culture amps it up (to wit: superheroes), but methinks the psychological allure runs deep. I, for one, have always been amused at the level of attention bestowed upon the Windsors. :-)
