- greggyb 6y agoMy dad was an electrical engineer and used to keep a cutout of a press release from a company. It announced the company's production of its billionth transistor. I really wish I still had that. I don't remember the company or the date. But it's incredible that we've gone from a company's total lifetime production of an item to now selling more than that amount in every single chip.
