Show HN: Nitro is a Go framework for distributed app development, IoT, edge, P2P
- square_usual 6y agoYou should mark this as Show HN, given that you seem to be the developer of this framework.
- asim 6y agoWill do thanks
- InitEnabler 6y ago>Nitro requires a paid subscription license for commercial use Yeah, hard pass on this one. I probably won't be using this in a commercial capacity. But if for some reason I want to or someone forks my code I would want them to monitize without having to pay someone to license there own code.
- asim 6y agoMaintainers gotta get paid yo. 6 years on this project. Nothing contributed back beyond issues and tumbleweed. You won't pay but you know what, that company that really needs to embed a world class framework will.
- brudgers 6y agoLinking to Github probably set some expectations about the licensing model. The project homepage gives you more control over your branding and message.
- InitEnabler 6y agoAgreed.
- asim 6y agoThanks for the feedback. Setting up website now.
- InitEnabler 6y agoYea completely understand that. Gotta pay the bills somehow. But just like someone else commented, posting a Github page your assuming a lot when it comes to licensing.
