An attack on a carrier group is one of the conditions for the use of nuclear missiles. If you hit a carrier group (and especially if you hit a carrier group and win), you're gambling with mutually assured destruction.

- chasd00 6y agoI've always thought that too, people like to point out some adversary has a state of the art anti-ship missile. Let's say a US carrier is sunk, then what? It's as if that would be the end of the ordeal and there would be no response.
