Since cranelift is pure rust, that should simply PGO (mentioned this last week in https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25060762 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25060762), which gave 16% for LLVM, hopefully the same for cranelift? So with those and not using the default linker, you could get significantly faster debug builds.
