I hate to be the rude person, but I'll be it: it's not your community, it's Reddit's community. You just happen to be the person that created the sub and maintained it for a while. Your sense of ownership and attachment to it are just feelings that you have, they are not reality. If you want your community you'll probably have to setup something on forgotmypw17.com/forum.php.
- forgotmypw17 6y agoPhysically you,re correct. Verbally, I clicked a button titled "Create your own subreddit" when making it. I thought the ad impressions and ads on my community were the price.
- Darmody 6y agoThey call it "your own" as a marketing strategy. Same thing with other companies that say they want to empower the user or change the world. No. They want to make money and they make it by attracting users.
- dyingkneepad 6y agoWell, the reddit menu that lists the communities I'm subscribed to also says "My Communities" yet I know none of them are, in fact, mine. The definitino of "your own" here is very subjective.
