DEAR God! They have a monopoly!
This is unfair to those who want to compete in the Personal Washboard (PM) marketplace, and this company has a virtual lock on the supply, probably anti-competitive patents too!

Frankly, I’m shocked there are ANY companies in North America making washboards.
- jfengel 6y agoI suspect that their main consumers are people looking for a historic feeling. You can get cheaper ones, presumably made in China. That said, they're suprisingly reasonable. They start at around $30 on Amazon. (Compared to $10 for the cheap one at the local hardware store.) Some sites turned up actual vintage ones cheaper.
