These sort of sales have to be planned in advance and as long as they aren't done in a blackout period are legal.
It would be very stupid financially for them not to exercise some sales at this point.

- xster 6y agoDoesn't mean they can't time a non peer reviewed marketing announcement right before said pre-planned date right?
- jjeaff 6y agoThis was exactly what I was thinking. However, I have read two things that I haven't yet been able to confirm. The study on the efficacy of the drug was done by a 3rd party and supposedly the timing of the results was not under the control or knowledge of the company. But I also read that the sale was setup to trigger at a certain price. So I'm not sure what to believe.
- mgh2 6y agoYeah, two coincidences sounds a bit off, in terms of probability... Is like saying the probability of two presidential election polls being wrong twice was unlikely, unless there was something deeply wrong with the system. Maybe it comes down to our faith in the stock market/firms/media, just like our democracy? Food for thought...
