- mytailorisrich 6y agoI believe this 'ban' is a ban on the sale of new vehicles, not a ban on all vehicles on the road. > The ban won’t quite as totalitarian as before, though. I think the author means 'absolute' here instead of 'totalitarian'.
- llimos 6y ago> Last month, just 7% of new vehicle sales in the UK were EVs, so the country still has a way to go. Hopefully the ban will serve to push people towards EVs well ahead of the ban. This sounds like a tacit admission that EVs are not good enough on the merits (even though >7% of the country do care about climate change). In which case why should anyone get one before the ban?
