This is one of the better written pieces I've seen on Qanon, one of the few that seems to have actually understood the phenomenon (the average journalist seems to go as far as reading and regurgitating the first line of the Wikipedia article and calling it a day). I really think, though, that the article is wrong (and, ironically, overly conspiratorily-minded) in saying that Someone must be behind Qanon. As far as I can figure out it's just a particularly successful 8chan meme created for shits and giggles by a group of experienced trolls with varying degrees of seriousness and an intuitive understanding of all the things discussed in this article.
