Why do people feel so threatened by people expressing themselves without opaque moderation? I see people constantly posting hyperbole that this is the most dangerous thing in modern times and yet can’t find any concrete examples of anything negative besides feelings. And yet history is full of examples of dictators and oppressive regimes that suppress and control thought and communication. Science fiction is full of mega corporations that foresee much of the same. Is this really the society we want to live in?
