- aurizon 6y agoMeet BS central!!
- mqsley 6y agoclearly not tho
- troughway 6y agoThird thread on Patler in less than 24 hours. What’s going on?
- zug_zug 6y agoAgreed. It's too much. I think some people are afraid of a candidate falsely declaring victory/fraud on platforms without moderation. Also, some of us have friends/family-members who are getting kind of weird over even the youtube conspiracy rabbit-holes. It's really the logical conclusion of the "deplatforming" debate, but I don't see how it's is any different than 4chan.
- gumby 6y agoParler is trending in the broader discussion so it makes sense it would spill into HN as it’s a social media site. Nothing more.
- throwaway69123 6y agoWhy do people feel so threatened by people expressing themselves without opaque moderation? I see people constantly posting hyperbole that this is the most dangerous thing in modern times and yet can’t find any concrete examples of anything negative besides feelings. And yet history is full of examples of dictators and oppressive regimes that suppress and control thought and communication. Science fiction is full of mega corporations that foresee much of the same. Is this really the society we want to live in?
