What is the license?

  For this hypothetical question assume the license is irrelevant. (Assume the most legal tight license known) But an answer referencing a license you would not break to clone/sell would make an interesting point.

    Then it is quite illegal. The creator of the software has copyright over their work unless they license it under a permissive license.

      If I were to clone your album or movie and sell it as my own, does copyright apply then?
