The iMac screen is highly reflective, to the point that it's almost like looking in a mirror when running an app with a dark background color. My default IDE background color is black, and I had to change it on my iMac, so I could focus on my code instead of my face... Apple offers a matte display on the MacBook Pro, and I highly recommend that option, especially if you intend to work outdoors.
