It’s a little weird, isn’t it? They would have gone to the effort to compile it for 64-bit, at the very least. (I’ve not dug around in the app bundle, maybe it’s just the simplest possible Cocoa app, and it’s a trivial “just click the architecture button” compile thing.) My pet theory: someone high up at Apple still uses this. I actually do know someone at work who still uses this.
