So is this going to be a repeat of Python where Python 3 was not compatible with Python 2?
- jaredcwhite 6y agoThankfully not…some gems will need minor updates but for the most part there's not much about v3 that breaks code written for v2.
- ksec 6y agoNo, Matz saw what happen to Python 3 and dont want that to happen. Personally I think Both side has taken a little bit of extreme. Python 3 offer very little benefits to v2 while being incompatible. Ruby 3 is holding off many changes due to compatibility.
