The article basically concludes that while no reliable data about the influence of vitamin D upon COVID-19,
judging from its known positive effects on other respiratory illnesses and it attenuation of the cytokine storm (the deadly reaction to COVID-19 ) health officials should consider vitamin D supplements for at risk populations.
- maaaaattttt 6y agoYes this article has a very sane conclusion. Yet, I'm happy to see that there are new studies (or a least this one) to find out in a randomized way if there is more than a weak correlation between the two. I tend to believe, after all the discussion (here notably), that in the case of COVID-19 it is more a marker of a healthy lifestyle/diet than anything else. I would love to be proven wrong though!
