  First hand experience showing that psychographic advertising, Cambridge Analytica's supposed super weapon, does not work.

I appreciate that the author recognizes this as an issue, but I find it hypocritical that his "day job consists of measuring the effectiveness of digital advertising" which is basically the biggest reason why every single website nowadays has dozens of different analytics trackers that contribute to that "surveillance capitalism".

    This is a valid point. But the (fortunately?) the effectiveness of these trackers is also massively overstated.
