- joana035 6y agoAnd those are true heroes. It is an immense effort to make proprietary hardware to work well, specially Apple hardware.
- long_warmup 6y agoI meant the original comment, that soon there will be no PC that runs Linux - I do hope for this because I feel this would be perfect business opportunity for somebody to come by and build PC's that run Linux and sell them for $ :)
- joana035 6y agoI definitively don't want to live in this kind of world :P But there is already companies selling computers with linux pre-installed like system76, dell and others.
- dusted 6y ago"If this bad thing happens = $$" That's actually, just douchebaggish and evil if you think about it, a perfect HN comment :D I'll upvote your comment for that :) That being said, I'll probably just find another platform if that happens, some SBC that can run linux, heck, we're almost at the point where it's realistic to build a good-enough computer out of whatever Atmel chips you can get free samples of :)
