You can actually buy the XPSs with Ubuntu preloaded even. (Or, used to be able to - I went back to a Thinkpad and haven't looked lately).

- robocat 6y agoYou can buy the XPS13 Developer Edition. The XPS15 doesn’t come preinstalled with Linux (although it apparently works well and is well supported). If you want an officially supported Dell 15”, you need to buy the more expensive Precision: https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/overview/cp/linuxsystems https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/overview/cp/linuxsystem...
- jessaustin 6y agoThere may be some supply chain issues with the Linux one. When I ordered this in August, they never sent it and cancelled my order 1.5 months later. I reordered it that day, and it was delivered within several days. I do like it very much.
