macOS Internet Recovery Stuck on Catalina
The internet recovery assistant for macOS should download the latest version of macOS that is compatible with the device. However, Big Sur is not available - only Catalina shows up.
This is frustrating that Apple did not update all channels of distribution for Big Sur.
- scottwitlin 6y agoThere may be an issue with a hang in Big Sur. That may be why they don't want you recovering to Big Sur & instead roll you back to Catalina. Seeing things on Twitter about this.
