The reason I didn't use Cairo in the past is that it wasn't dealing with color correctly[1]. Which kinda makes everything you draw in it with antialiasing or transparency ... wrong. At least if you care about these things which I do for the use cases I have for a vector graphics lib. Did this get fixed in the meantime? Last time I checked this[2] was still open.
