You'll first need to get an arm version of Windows for that.
- jodrellblank 6y agoWindows and Office have existed in ARM versions since 2011: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_RT https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_RT Windows 10: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/ https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/ Windows IoT Core for Raspberry Pi: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55029 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=550... Not to say they'll run on Apple Silicon, mind, but it's not like Windows is x86/AMD64 only.
- ralph84 6y agoBut as of now Microsoft only licenses Windows 10 for ARM to OEMs, so as an end-user it's not possible to have a legal copy running in a VM.
- my123 6y agoThe link for running Windows on Arm on a VM (VHDX image): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewARM64 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsins... That's pretty much targeted towards end users, albeit those in the Windows Insider Program for now.
