Thanks for your questions! What we have now is the first step of our vision. It supports offline-first apps in the sense that you can work offline and sync later. If you are talking about not using a server at all: that's coming too. All the rest of the things you mention: they are all in the works. What we have now is already enough to build great apps (as done with EteSync for example), though we want to build the entire ecosystem around it.
