I'm not sure what this supposed to demonstrate. I literally said that Arch Linux probably applies downstream patches to a lesser degree than Ubuntu. My point was that the person I responded to made it sound as if Arch Linux doesn't do any patching, which is obviously false since they have dozens if not hundreds of packages with downstream patches.
