Tangential, but is Etesync and Notes a cheap, unbloated and foolproof app combo compared to paid competitors? And would the existing protocol support a (team) password manager? I would buy that trio if its a healthy business at $2 per month and avoided lock-in. And in future enabled "SaaS" products which is a static site + a safe backend.

- aitchnyu 6y agoI'm wary of SaaS that earns a ton of cash and then implodes under their expenses. I'll be happy to get an Etesync account and use apps built for it. Like how draw.io is a mostly static site using Dropbox, GDrive etc as portable backends.
- tasn 6y agoWe are not going to implode under our expenses. We keep our expenses in check (and have been for the last four years), and we put a big emphasis on the sustainability of the service.
