- RestlessMind 6y ago[Not an American] I think your bubble of the world where there are "lot of folks" raising kids without both parents being married seems an unusual setup. Where I grew up (India), majority of the kids are raised by married parents; a minority is raised by divorced parents and a tiny negligible number is raised by unmarried parents. Americans seem perfectly normal in that regard. Maybe your part of the world is unusual?

- newen 6y agoChildren raised by married parents is very much the norm around the world. It is definitely unusual. Whether it's developed or not is just your, frankly strange, opinion.
