There is nothing that we know with a higher degree of certainty then a scientific theory, such as the theory of evolution, the theory of general relativity, the theory of quantum mechanics, the theory of newtonian mechanics etc.
- sizt 6y agoYesiree. We scientists know better. Take, for example, the atomic bomb.
- simiones 6y agoYes, the atomic bomb, while monstrous, does show that scientists understand the world (and, unfortunately, how to destroy it) better than anyone else.
- sizt 6y agoHackers and physicists apparently share the same malady of inflated ego.
- tdsamardzhiev 6y agoI'd argue that by now The Bomb has saved way more people than it has killed (no WW3, etc). And that's not even counting the other achievements of the Manhattan Project, such as the first artificial nuclear reactor.
