Big Sur: Read this before upgrading
- PikachuEXE 6y agoI will wait at least one year before even consider upgrading Apple isn't doing great (politely speaking) in finding & fixing issues for new OS versions in recent years
- willswire 6y agoI’ve been running the beta since day 1, and have to say I’m impressed not only with the new UI, but also many of the OS improvements. Not saying you should upgrade if you are worried about things breaking, but when you do, it will be a breath of fresh air!
- mgkimsal 6y agoexamples of improvements you've seen?
- tomjen3 6y ago>One important change with those new models is that they require all ARM-native executable code to be signed, unlike Intel models which can continue to run unsigned code in Big Sur. If you read the linked article it notes that there is no requirement for the signature to be signed by anybody and that the linker automatically adds one one the fly. This is similar to Android app development.
