Apples to oranges.
- denysvitali 6y agoCan you elaborate please? I have always used Prometheus + Grafana for monitoring, and I feel like InfluxDB is more aimed towards IoT sensors data representation. Do you have any experience to share?
- throw93 6y agoInfluxDB stores individual events e.g. error occured at 11.01am whereas Prometheus stores the aggregates i.e. number of errors occured between 11.01am and 11.02am.
- sciurus 6y agoThis depends on how you use it. It's pretty common to use something like statsd or a prometheus exporter to aggregate data before storing it in InfluxDB.
