Prank cursor that resulted in an employee being fired before they even started
- Cpoll 6y agoThe title and opening paragraph is a bit deceptive. It's been my rule for a long time to never put any weird Easter eggs, inside jokes or profanities in software (even variable names, comments, etc.) because you never know whether it'll get lost, misplaced, or wind up in a stack trace displayed to someone who doesn't get the joke.

- ralphc 6y agoEarly in my career I was tracking down a gnarly bug and it was getting to me, I made an angry log file. Weeks later, customers were wondering why they were getting "C:\bite.me" on their computers...
