I realize the spectrum isn't limited to startups vs bigCo's (you can be self-employed as a consultant etc.) but the numbers are almost always met with disbelief. Just look at this HN thread where people are accusing each other of being liars or "lazy".
- draw_down 6y agoYeah, we’re all lying or flexing or whatever. OK, suit yourself. It’s too bad people think this way, but as I said in an earlier comment, you’re not hurting anyone but yourself if you do. If building a $1k MRR business is so much more important to you then do it, go nuts.
