Ask HN: Best Remote Desktop Software?
Looking for remote desktop software that will allow me to logon to some platform (Windows, Linux) via most personal laptops.
Personal Computer --> Portal/Login --> Virtual Desktop
Basically looking for Desktop computing "in the cloud".
I've heard of Amazon Spaces and Itopia (Google Cloud).
Any one else have any other recommendations?
- core-questions 6y agoTurboVNC is the best VNC. Run one of those on a cheap cloud instance, maybe alongside a Pritunl install, and you can connect up to a performant, resizeable, 3d-accelerated X desktop from any platform for dirt cheap.
