Depression... come on, who isn't depressed?
- collyw 6y agoEspecially with the hysteria in the media over Covid and lockdown on top of that. I am surprised it is as low as one in five. This headline will be a self full filling prophecy.
- misterc123 6y agoYou are spot on, complete self fulfilling prophecy. This pandemic will go down in history as psychological terrorism. I feel terrible for people who are already diagnosed with depression/anxiety. Covid has created more collateral damage than damage pertaining to the virus.
- mlang23 6y agoFully agree.
- djsumdog 6y agoYea, I think in 2040, historians, doctors and psychologists will look back at this era as the largest case of mass hysteria. I do not deny a lot of people have died from this, but it's mostly the elderly that could have been protected. I also think the death counts are over-estimates, while everyone else thinks they're under-estimates. The lockdowns do little to nothing and need to end. Human beings are not machines that can be places in low power mode or gears that can be stopped.
- collyw 6y agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHfOcGm5xiA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHfOcGm5xiA They appear to count any death that was tested positive for coronavirus as a Covid death. Coincidentally these countries are all near the top of the list when sorting by deaths per million.
- Raphmedia 6y agoClinical Depression is not to be confused with "feeling depressed". Statistics are around 6.7% in the US for Major Depressive Disorder and 1.5% for Persistent depressive disorder (before Covid era, I suspect this is on the raise).
