This actually looks pretty sweet. I could get lost in this for an hour or two easy. It is not sweet that every action or click I make adds to my browser history. So going back to the previous website is not going to happen.

A solution to this might be to change the sharing method to move the data string from the URL to just a text input box.
  - defensem3ch 6y ago
there's an option to disable URL data
- EamonnMR 6y ago
  Branchable, sharable undo buffer

uhh, this looks like a straight rip of beepbox [1]. Oh, I see it's referenced in the text blurb underneath. It would be nice to list what changes were enhanced from beepbox that are now in Jummbus. EDIT: ok, they do discuss changes, it' sin the video they provide [2]. [1] https://beepbox.co https://beepbox.co [2] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26yDP4ACuzE&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26yDP4ACuzE&feature=youtu.be

OK, this looks like a pretty substantial improvement. There are more wave forms, better control over the wave forms, effects, etc. I think these features were lacking in beepbox and, though I haven't played around with Jummbus, it looks like you might be able to create much more sophisticated and "professional" sounding tunes with Jummbox than in beepbox. Awesome stuff!
EamonnMR 6y ago
The ability to drag the notes to create arbitrary slides is really, really cool. I wish DAWs had this feature.
grawprog 6y ago
This is super cool for a web based sequencer. I've never used beepbox, so I can't compare but this has some neat features. It's got a decent selection of samples, a filter, a few effects and ways to shape the waveform, it's surprisingly not too bad to use on mobile. I have to say too, I really like the way you can grab a note then drag it up or down for slides. This is definitely something i'm going to spend some time playing with. Thanks for making and sharing.
- nwsm 6y ago
Yeah the slides are pretty awesome

Not crazy about every change affecting history, but this is fun!

Crazy synchronicity. I found this and Beepbox yesterday while looking for chiptune samples. Here are a few great songs from others posted on the twitter channel. https://twitter.com/MirasBrush/status/1326576925276426241 https://twitter.com/MirasBrush/status/1326576925276426241 https://twitter.com/MirasBrush/status/1326214034245431296 https://twitter.com/MirasBrush/status/1326214034245431296 https://twitter.com/bitbeepsmusic/status/1326975412073865218 https://twitter.com/bitbeepsmusic/status/1326975412073865218
