A possible explanation: it would be simple enough for someone to slag their competitors by leaving reviews saying “this person tried to bribe me with a gift card to leave a fake review.” For every person trying to buy their way to the top, there is someone else trying to knock down their competitors by falsely implicating them in rules violations ... I would imagine it would be better to report this interaction to Amazon customer service, including forwarding a copy of the email, rather than addressing this through a product review.
