It is not america's job to rescue the rest of the world.
- rbanffy 6y agoIt should then probably try to refrain from "liberating" other countries or sponsoring coups that install authoritarian but cooperative governments.
- netsharc 6y agoIt's not just up to America, it's up to every country in the world, and actually every person in the world, to make sure others are safe. Your sentence can be translated to "It is not my job to rescue other people.". I suppose the "must" in my 1st paragraph isn't really a must, but how does one call himself human if someone is dying and one thinks "Whatever, not my job...".
- shiftpgdn 6y agoBecause it is irrational to try to save the world. You put your family (tribe) first and then do your best beyond that. Can I send 30 illiterate african villagers to come live in your house? That's the ratio that'd be required if we were going to try to save everyone.
