Had a Nexus 5 and a Nexus 5X. This is my first Pixel phone. Price is a bit higher than I think it should be, but otherwise I love it. I don't want a "premium" phone, I want a great all-around phone. This one is it for me. Google dropped the ball on the gap issue though. Mine doesn't have the problem, but I'm disappointed that others are having an issue with an otherwise great phone.
