The bigger issue here is that HP basically did a bait-and-switch promising free printing (x number of sheets a month) for life then saying you have to pay us 99 cents a month or you can't use your printer at all.
- goldcd 6y agoBut you can use the printer - you just swap out the instant-ink carts for regular ones (or clones). Of course if I'm wrong, I'm open to being corrected - but my understanding is that it's not the printer that's the service, it's "the magic instant ink carts and the ink in them"
