I'm saddened to see others in exactly the same camp as myself having also written about this the other week (https://joshcollie.com/articles/zucked/ https://joshcollie.com/articles/zucked/). Fortunatetly I have an Oculus Rift S and can maintain usage with my Oculus account. As far as I'm aware it will still be in a usable state come 2023, albeit with no social features. As much as the Oculus hardware is fairly good I would highly recommend seeking alternative providers of VR hardware.
