Many apps, especially JavaScript based ones download unapproved JavaScript without a user's consent or knowledge as updates to the app outside of the review process but those are still allowed.
- saagarjha 6y agoThey may still be approved but I believe recent changes to the rules have made this behavior against the rules.
- Osiris 6y agoso all Expo apps will be banned?
- harrisonjackson 6y agoThis is against the TOS. Just because Expo enables it with their update's api doesn't mean Apple is okay with it. > 2.5.2... "nor may they download, install, or execute code which introduces or changes features or functionality of the app" Expo makes the OTA updates so so so easy it would be hard for any developer not to take advantage though :D
