Can you enlighten people who have no idea what these acronyms mean?

  RED is "redacted" and WCD is "What.CD", both are well known private torrent trackers. I don't get peoples obsession with only using acronyms when you can just Google "<acronym> tracker" and get the name.

    Well red and wcd are about as useful as the full names if you don't know what they are. If you go to the website its just a login screen

    You'd already need to know this is about trackers. Ok this is HN but that doesn't translate to 'people who know their way around in downloading anything they want' or so.
