The important question is when does it end, the economists that promoted globalization have come forward and admitted that it hurt the US more than planned. Does it only end when the US population is in the state that the poor Chinese, et al. farmers were in before we accepted this globalism? At some point we have to stop and say, "OK, we gave you a leg up now let's spend a few decades and rebuild our own country". This is not what is proposed by Democrat politicians, they propose we continue to transfer wealth (in many forms) to other countries and fill the income gap that is produced with social welfare programs.
